Takshyashila, as the ancient history unveils, was a renowned centre of education. Many famous teachers used to teach there, to whom hundreds and thousands of students flocked for the sake of higher education from all parts of Northern India. Panini, Prosenjit, Jivaka and Kautilya had been the famous educationists to impart their invaluable lectures. More than 60 distinct Arts and Science subjects were taught there. ‘She’ was indeed a cynosure of the Persians, Greeks and Indians, or in other words a cauldron;wherein blended the Persian, Greek and Indian cultural inheritance.
Keeping this legacy our Takshyashila is not merely an educational institution. She conceives a definite goal – to train her pupils through the most sophisticated and scientific modus-operande. The glorious history of the past has inspired us to constitute Takshyashila in such a manner, where every pupil would be equipped with the art of living, self-sufficiency, self-respect and rare moral values. We deserve to tune the total system with a neo-realistic approach.
